Strong’s Farewell Letter

goodbye

Strong’s Farewell Letter

This is it, the last day of Photo 2! Please take a few minutes and come up with a few paragraphs about your overall experience in this class.  Tell me a memory, a feeling, the best thing you learned, your favorite project, best moments in class. What made these moments possible? What are your overall impressions of this class? How are you feeling on this last day in here?

Also, if you could give one piece of advice to next year’s Photo 2  students what would that be?

Post these answers into the provided Google Doc on Google Classroom.

Have a great Summer!

What do all of these photographers have in common? They have online portfolio websites that showcase their best work.

What you’ll need:

  • A photo of you.
  • A Bio of your work. Here’s a link of how to write your bio.
  • A resume detailing your skills and experiences gained in this class.
  • A collage of your 10 best photos on the first page that comes up.
  • A page called projects that has your cinemagraph, your photo diary and your multimedia slideshow.
  • A page called Work that has all of your photo challenge photos.
  • A page called blog that has all of your visual journals, sketches, etc.
  • What changes you’ll need to make.
  • Go into the settings and tweak your settings to make the appearance, font choice, etc. be a bit more professional. Shop around for a theme, but keep it free!

What I’ll be grading you on:

  1. How complete the portfolio is. Do you have everything on the list above?

  3. Quality of 10 best collage images.

After you have turned in your final two Complementary Color photos post the two images to your visual journal.  Write a post answering all of the questions below in your reflection, not just a one sentence answer.

Describe the process, or workflow, you went through to create these images? How did you incorporate the two complementary color into your photos? What blending methods did you use in Photoshop? What did the addition of complementary colors do for your images? What moods or emotions stood out as a result of enhancing the complementary colors?

Explain how you were able to enhance the mood of the photographs with Photoshop or Lightroom? How well do your final images show the complementary colors?

What did you learn about color theory as a result of working on this project? Do you think your photos tell a good story?
What would you do differently if you could do it all again?
What are you most proud of?

When you have finished and double checked spelling and punctuation, post to Google. Final reflection is due Thursday before the end of the period.
